Student Performers’ Guild Festival

The Student Performers’ Guild Festival (SPG) has a long and venerable history of providing opportunities for students to perform in small classes under the guidance of experienced adjudicators. The Festival is scheduled in February and is one of the means by which the Branch distributes scholarships to deserving students.

Canada Music Week Festival

The Canada Music Week Festival (CMW) takes place each year during National Canada Music Week in November. The event is subsidized by the Branch and offers students a chance to play and experience Canadian music at the Canadian Music Centre in Downtown Vancouver.

Bi-Annual Student Recitals

Student Recitals are organized each Winter and Spring in either a Vancouver or Burnaby location. Branch teachers are welcome to submit a limited number of students without cost.

Celebration of Excellence Recital

The Celebration of Excellence Recital (CoE) features students who have attained 90% or higher in their practical exams. All candidates who perform are presented with certificates, and medals as well as scholarships are awarded for the highest marks in each category.
